「段落ごとに要旨を掴める力」を身につける!

長文読解では段落ごとに要約できると良いと以前から書いてきましたがそれがどのようなメリットを生み出すのかについて今回は説明していきます。

英語長文読解で「段落ごとに要旨を掴める力」を身につけると、以下のような非常に大きなメリットがあります:

1. 設問に素早く対応できる（時間短縮） 

• 要旨を段落ごとに把握していれば、「この話は第3段落にあったな」とすぐに該当箇所に戻れるため、見返し時間が激減。 

• 特に内容一致問題や詳細説明問題で威力を発揮します。 

2. 文章全体の構造が見える

• 段落ごとの要旨を把握すると、筆者の主張や論の展開（対比・因果・例示など）がつかみやすくなる。

• その結果、主張把握問題や要約問題で高得点を取りやすくなります。

3. 見落としや誤読を防げる

• 全体の流れを追えていれば、細かい情報に振り回されずに読解の軸がブレない。

• つまり「なんとなく」で読むクセがなくなり、選択肢に惑わされにくくなります。
